Through Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong.

We also support Dolly’s Dream to help change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

The role:

Reporting into the Children Ahead Program Manager, this 12-month contract role is responsible for the delivery of outreach therapy and case management to children and young people who have experienced significant trauma, violence or bullying. 

You would be responsible for:

  • Providing individual therapeutic support and case management to children within the program
  • Providing efficient, professional case work consisting of intake, assessment, individualised therapy, and case management
  • Fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date client management and statistical records
  • Ensuring that up to date and accurate knowledge of relevant services are available to Foundation clients.

Experience required:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in social welfare such as Social Work or Psychology, with eligibility for membership of a professional organisation (ie.  AASW or APS) or other qualifications suitable for practice in the child and family welfare field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing high quality, complex case management to children, youth and families in the context of violence, abuse and trauma.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering clinical services to vulnerable children and young people.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice models and theories relating to children, families, trauma, violence or abuse, bullying and online behaviours.
  • Hold a current driver’s license, and willing and able to use own vehicle (appropriate reimbursement of expenses provided).
