Chiller Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chiller Technician is responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of SMARDT Chillers and related products and services. The Chiller Technician works closely with the service team and other department staff where further training will be given to ensuring the highest levels of customer service, assistance, and advice at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out the commissioning, maintenance, service repairs and assembly of SMARDT Chillers throughout Victoria, including breakdown repairs that may require working outside of normal business hours.
- Work closely with the Service Team and other department staff to identify and communicate service-related matters that will assist Smardt customers and products.
- Support the achievement of Smardt direct service provision in Victoria, while always maintaining safe work practices.
- Other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- 2+ years’ experience working on central plant air-conditioning systems.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning system basic principles.
- Building management system / controls experience (Beneficial).
- Demonstrated understanding of Danfoss Turbocor compressors (Beneficial).
QUALIFICATIONS / LICENCES
- Australian trade certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning.
- Unrestricted Refrigeration Handling Licence (ARC).
- Valid full driver's licence.
- Restricted Electrical licence D.
- Current White or Red Cards.
- Current Working with Children Check..
