About the Role
The Processing Operator, reporting to the Managing Director, is responsible for the for daily operation and cleaning of the processing Equipment, including the task of managing the raw milk and day to day preventative maintenance tasks. The Process Operator must adhere to the strict hygiene standards of the production area for Food Safety management.
It is essential to have the ability to work in a small team in a respectful and positive manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily operation of filling machines including but not limited to:
- Pre-sanitising;
- Maintaining processing operation and product changes;
- Measuring and dosing ingredients;
- CIP of equipment at the end of each day;
- Manual clean of equipment, processing room and control station at the end of each day;
- Preparing product and water samples for routine testing and sending to third party laboratory.
- Demonstrating a culture of excellence in food safety hygiene;
- Completing online and chart documentation for records of daily processing and full traceability;
- Making decision during production to optimise efficiencies and prioritise the critical products each day;
- Overseeing the ingredients stock inventory and reporting any shortfalls ahead of minimum lead times;
- Reporting of any equipment and facility repairs and maintenance noticed in the course of daily tasks;
- Ad hoc duties in the production area as required.
A driver’s licence is essential, and previous experience in a food hygiene workplace is desirable.
