An opportunity exists for a full-time (shift) CIP (Clean In Place) Operator to join the Sarina Distillery production team - located in Sarina. This position has a career succession plan in place, with opportunities existing for the successful candidate to progress to a Biostil Operator once trained and deemed competent.
This successfully applicant will be responsible for the operational support to the Biostil and distillation. This includes the planning and propagation of yeast used in the fermentation process. The position comprises of a mix of Control Room/Console activities, as well as outdoor plant related physical tasks.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain the cleanliness of the Biostil environment (Clean in Process) to minimise risk of product contamination
Cleaning of fermenters, reboilers, heat exchangers and filters as dictated by the production process
Assisting the Biostil Operator to ensure the effective operation of the plant
Loading ethanol trucks and completing dispatch documentation
Providing production storage and transfer logistics support
Molasses storage and supply operations as required for fermentation/production

A commitment to continuous improvement including safety and environment
Experience in handling chemicals
Experience in manufacturing operations and a sound mechanical aptitude
Proven self-starter / motivated attributes, with highly developed organisational skills
HRW Forklift licence or ability to achieve competency
Applicants with the following attributes will be highly regarded:
Cert III in Plant Operations (or similar)
Excellent Problem solving skills.
Good Communication skills - Written, Spoken, Listening.
Safe working at heights & confined space entry desired
Ability to guide and support others, and work in a team environment.
