Job Overview
We are seeking a Citrix/Windows System Administrator to join our clients IaaS Team and support managed services for a top-tier client. This role involves maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure, particularly focusing on Citrix Application and Desktop services and Windows Server Administration.
About the role
- Manage and support Citrix farms and environments, including application and desktop services.
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
- Perform firmware and driver updates, volume management, and data migration/replication.
- Administer user system access, ensure IT compliance, and manage server availability and performance.
- Provide technical support and problem resolution for delivery systems.
- Monitor system performance for capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in IT and the business for effective service delivery.
- Plan and support future directions with hyperconverged technology.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Citrix System Admin.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Windows System Admin.
- Expertise in Windows Server, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, VMware, and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and general server concepts.
- Familiarity with VMware tools (vCenter, vCloud, vSphere), monitoring tools, ServiceNow, and network (LAN) exposure.
- Experience with HCI/automation and application/server migration.
- Citrix certifications (XenApp, XenDesktop) highly regarded.
- VDI exposure and configuration experience.
- Experience with platform security design and implementation based on best practices.
- Exposure to virtualization and VxRail.
- ITIL v3/v4 certification.
- Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain Baseline and NV1/2 security clearances. Baseline clearance is mandatory.
