Position Overview: We are currently hiring multiple Civil Construction Workers to join our team. The primary purpose of these positions is to safely and effectively carry out labouring and related tasks, assist other team members, and ensure all activities meet our high customer service expectations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate various plant and equipment safely and efficiently, including:
- Combination Recycler/Hydro Excavator
- Easement Reel
- CCTV Inspection Unit
- Carry out cleaning, hydro excavation, CCTV inspection, minor replacement, and emergency response works with minimal supervision.
- Perform general labouring tasks such as shovelling, compacting, sweeping, lifting, cleaning, and setting up traffic management.
- Assist colleagues in various activities including cleaning works, repair works, construction works, excavation, and backfilling.
- Conduct all works in a safe, efficient, courteous, and environmentally friendly manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, perform minor maintenance, and report any issues with plant and equipment promptly.
- Follow all directions from management, comply with legislative requirements, and complete required paperwork and digital submissions daily.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by Management.
Competencies:
- Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of municipal infrastructures like Stormwater, Sewer, and Water networks (desirable).
- Practical problem-solving abilities and sound communication skills.
- Ability to identify and prioritise work tasks effectively.

Qualifications and Licenses:
- Truck License – HR - HC. (desirable)
- Construction Induction (White Card).
- Asbestos Awareness & Silica Awareness.
- Confined Space and Working at Heights.
- Traffic Management. (desirable)
- Certificates of competency or prior experience for relevant Plant machinery.
- Additional licenses such as High Risk, Plant, or Skid Steer (desirable).
Work Experience and Skills:
- Literacy skills consistent with role requirements.
- Recent experience in a similar role.
- Sound communication and computing skills.
- Prior knowledge of Civil Construction industry and municipal networks (desirable).
- General mechanical knowledge.
