Civil Designer Engineer

• Paying $41.61ph + super
• 6 month assignment from start date
• Working 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week.

About the Role

Our client is the delivery powerhouse behind some of NSW's most crucial projects. Their work is in the hospitals, dams, water treatment plants and high schools. They are now seeking a Civil Designer Engineer to come in and assist them on a 6 month assignment from commencement.

Candidates for this position must have experience and knowledge of engineering design and construction standards for civil construction and government water infrastructure projects, coupled with a minimum of 4 years experience undertaking civil design activities, and working with Cloud Collaboration platforms.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare a range of civil engineering deliverables (2D drawings and 3D models) for government clients under the supervision of a senior design engineer
• Producing design deliverables in accordance with Australian, company departmental and Council/ Agency standards and specifications
• Working seamlessly with other engineering disciplines and project managers to obtain relevant information from clients and stakeholders and assess any constraints and design standards
• Providing technical advice to engineers, consultants and management using modern engineering design packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d and other related software
• Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative engineering outcomes for the company and its clients
• Assisting Digital Engineering Team to manage engineering cloud platforms
• Contributing to the development and implementation of Digital Engineering transformation, including the development of technical documentation, training of staff members, management of Autodesk Construction Cloud platform and other digital engineering tasks as required
• Performing 3D Design and estimation on Water Infrastructure Projects, Stormwater, Development Site Design and Road Design
• Assisting with proposals preparation for a range of civil engineering projects
• Design and calculation of civil stormwater projects using Drains, Info Drainage, MUSIC, Civil 3D and 12d

Please note this role is based at their Parramatta office, where you will work 7 hours per day and 35 hours per week. WFH Flexibility will be provided.

About You

You will be an experienced Civil Designer Engineer with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Engineering Degree in Civil Design (or similar qualification) from an Australian University or approved by Engineers Australia
• Demonstrated minimum 4 years' experience undertaking Civil Engineering design activities
• Demonstrated minimum 4 years' experience of working with Cloud Collaboration platforms
• Demonstrated ability to use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d or similar design software
• Proven knowledge and experience of engineering design and construction standards for civil construction and government water infrastructure projects
• Proven experience working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with high attention to details
