Full Job Description
Working out of the North Sydney office supporting a fast-paced Civil Engineering Consultancy, specialising in Urban and Land Development, Stormwater and Subdivisions.We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Design Engineer to oversee and participate in the implementation of 12D, AutoCAD, Drains + Music.. across all Sydney Operations and projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 
Designing and drafting development applications and constructions certificates for subdivisions, residential, commercial, land and retail developments using AutoCAD, DRAINS and 12D.

• Interpreting surveys, architectural and structural plans to develop into technical civil plans which comply with Council, TINSW and Australian Standards.
• Conducting design and hydraulic calculations for 2D designs and markups.
• Leading the production of civil documentation packages for land and urban development projects including Civil Engineering works plan and stormwater management reports.
• Assisting civil drafters, civil design engineers and project managers in developing all phases of a project
• Conducting site inspections and preparing high level engineering reports advising solutions.
• Reviewing project compliance with federal and local safety guidelines and standards to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Liaising with stakeholders, Council, subcontractors, internal project teams and external consultants to facilitate communicate and ensure timely completion of task throughout all phases of a project.
• Assisting project meeting and taking notes to assist in project plan and schedule.
• Assisted in the management of stakeholder relations by addressing inquiries and providing necessary project information.

 
Skills and Experience:
 

• More than 5-10 years’ experience and proven success in a technical or complex solutions as a Civil engineer/ Civil Design
• Experience in 12D, Drain, Autocad is highly desirable.
• Existing experience with Civil design is highly desirable. Ability and interest in learning new systems and solutions as the industry develops and expands.
• Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by ability to form long term client relationships.
• Ownership and responsibility in the role
• Driven and motivated to excel.
• Accurate reporting and forecasting of opportunities.
• Australian drivers licence
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
