Superior HDD are searching for a Civil Engineer to join our team. This role will primarily be based out of Illawarra NSW; however Superior HDD does complete work across various job locations primarily around NSW, with the capability to work interstate. Superior HDD PTY LTD (Superior HDD) is to be the sponsor where required.

About the role:
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in the horizontal directional drilling industry. This role entails the planning, organisation and overseeing the construction of projects. The successful applicant will also be required to estimate and monitor the costs of projects as well as manage the growth and development of our business within the Utility, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Civil Construction and Mining industries. This role is integral to the success of the business and will work collaboratively alongside the directors and a support team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determining methods, materials and quality standards for projects
- Interpreting specifications, drawing, plans, construction methods and procedures
- Monitoring changes to design, assessing affects on cost and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs
- Cost estimating, project budgeting and other tasks required to facilitate the compiling and submitting of all quotes and tenders.
- Accurately prepare quotes ready for submission to tenders.
- Plan and prepare the tender submission documents.
Experience:
- Must have experience in the HDD industry
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with HDD experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the HDD industry
- Having an existing clientele base within our industry would be preferable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work cohesively and collaboratively within a team.
- Good interpersonal skills including strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated to grow the business and proactive business development.
- Ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines
