The role
Our team delivers various types of technically challenging projects across urban renewal / development and municipal infrastructure (earthworks, storm water, sewer, water, pavements, and road design, among others).
As part of our Civil team in Coffs Harbour, you will play a key part in
- Delivering a variety of innovative Civil Engineering projects in the built form sector: Hospitals, Sporting Facilities, Commercial Developments, Education etc
- Assist with delivery of engineering investigation. assessment, and design and construction management documentation across a range of sectors.
- Design of associated civil infrastructure related to buildings, roads, bulk earthworks and drainage.
- Manage and communicate project requirements.
- Multi-discipline project delivery by utilising a variety of civil design packages.
We want you to take control of your career and successfully operate in a highly autonomous, yet supportive, environment with the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Local and proven experience as a Civil Engineer in an engineering consultancy environment.
- Experience in preparing detailed design and documentation of roads intersections, pavements, earthworks, and stormwater drainage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time, whilst working autonomously.
- Understanding of local government regulatory frameworks and statuary compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of civil design software such as 12D Model is essential, working knowledge of CIVIL 3D is desirable.
- Competent and independent use of other civil modelling software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, Autoturn and AutoCAD.
- Organise and coordinate people and work in a decisive manner.
- Excellent communication skills - able to speak and write clearly, concisely, and compellingly.
- Creative problem-solving skills to continually finds ways to overcome challenges and obstacles.
- Strong team ethic to work collaboratively across multiple offices.
- Handles interruptions, changes, and challenges.
