Responsibilities:

as a Civil Engineering Technician at Décor Group Commercial Coatings PtyLtd, you will be responsible for:

1.      Feasibility Analysisof Projects:

• Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed painting projects.
• Conduct market studies and cost-benefit analyses related to commercial painting.
• Identify potential challenges and risks associated with painting projects.

1. Budgeting:

• Develop detailed budgets for commercial painting projects.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to obtain accurate estimates for painting projects.
• Refine budgeting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the painting project lifecycle.
• Estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
• Collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations
•    Preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans anddesigns for Civil Engineering works.

1. Project Management:

• Supervise painting project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and deadlines.
• Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for efficient communication and successful project completion.
• Implement project management practices to maximise efficiency in commercial coating operations.
•  Performing and directing fieldwork and laboratory testing

1. Process Optimization:

• Identify improvement opportunities in planning and execution processes related to commercial painting.
• Inspecting Civil Engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work
• Implement innovative technologies and methodologies to optimize painting operations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices for commercial painting.

1. Cost Control:

• Monitor project costs compared to the budget for commercial painting projects.
• Identify budget deviations and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with the finance team for effective financial resource management.

1. Stakeholder Relationships:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other partners involved in commercial painting projects.
• Ensure client satisfaction and successful delivery of commercial painting projects.

1. Sustainability and Compliance:

• Integrate sustainability principles into commercial painting projects.
• Conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for traffic surveys
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all painting operations.

1. Professional Development:

• Invest in the continuous development of the painting team.
• Participate in training and workshops to stay updated on industry trends related to commercial painting.

Conducts tests of construction materials, prepares sketches andtabulations, and assists in estimating costs in support of Civil EngineeringProfessionals and Engineering Technologists. Registration or licensing may berequired.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification plus two years of similar or related work experience.

• Familiarity with sustainability practices and compliance regulations.

• Proficient in relevant software and technologies, Cubit, Autocad, SketchUPand Office Package
