COMPLETE is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that provides design and project management services for Local and State Governments.
We are seeking a Civil Engineer/Designer with experience in 12D to join our Engineering team in the Sydney Office.
About the role :As a Civil Engineer/Designer, you will have a key technical role in the efficient and successful delivery of various design projects, along with maintaining strong client relationships. The purpose of this role is to actively support COMPLETE's Engineering team in delivering design work for Local and State Government. The successful candidate will work closely with our small Engineering team in our Chippendale office, as well as collaborating with our Urban Design, Architecture, and Project Management Teams. We offer a mix of in Office/WFH.
Our ideal candidate would have:- Industry relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering;
- Some experience in a multi disciplinary project work environment, ideally delivering civil projects in the public domain;
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, and experience in 12D with an interest in developing these further;
- Knowledge/experience in storm water drainage design would be an advantage;
- Knowledge & awareness of Government Civil and Infrastructure Projects;
- Knowledge & awareness of Road Design, Traffic, and Transport Design;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience in preparing detailed design construction documentation;
- Experience in urban development projects such as road and highway design, stormwater drainage, water sensitive urban design, carparks, cycleways and earthworks;
- Experience in preparing construction cost estimates including quantity take-off for preparing bills of quantities.
- Road and earthworks design using 12D and AutoCAD;
- Assisting in preparation of civil documentation including drawings, specifications, estimates and reports;
- Assist in the review of civil design projects;
- Involvement in all Civil Design Engineering / Infrastructure activities;
- Develop close working relationships with fellow Designers, Technicians, Engineers, Architects, Project Managers and Directors;
- Apply and interpret legislative and contractual requirements as they apply to the design project at hand under the guidance of the senior team;
- Assistance in the preparation of tender submissions up to final submission.
