Specialising in civil works in the renewable energy industry including but not limited to electrical sub-stations, transmission lines clearing & foundations, wind & solar farms earthworks and piling projects.
Due to rapid growth and with a strong pipeline of projects in hand – we are currently seeking an Estimator with 4 to 5 years plus experience to join our estimating team and reporting to the Senior Estimator.
Key accountabilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates based on project plans, specifications and cost information for labour, material and equipment.
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required resources.
- Conduct site visits to gather information on project requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for construction materials and equipment.
- Presenting cost estimates to clients and project managers.
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure estimates align with project goals.
- Monitoring project costs and making adjustments as necessary to ensure estimates remain accurate.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, related work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a strong track record of successfully estimating and managing costs for large scale construction projects.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials and building codes
- Experience in substations and transmissions an advantage.
- Experience in using Expert Estimation, Bluebeam RV21 software and advanced Excel an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
