This position will drive and operate a rigid motor vehicle up to 11 tonne GVM (including water truck and/or tipper body).

About You
To undertake this position, the successful incumbent will have the ability to safely load and drive trucks with an awareness of the road rules and regulations and the load restraint rules and regulations.
You will have experience and the ability to operate and undertake general maintenance of relevant civil construction equipment.
Furthermore, the successful incumbent will have the ability to understand and implement relevant signage regulations according to the Manual of uniform traffic control devices (MUTCD).
The position's focus will be:
- Safely load and drive trucks with an awareness of the road rules and regulations and the load restraint rules and regulations.
- Ensure that plant is kept in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.
- General construction and maintenance labouring tasks associated with, but not limited to concreting, kerb and channelling, stormwater drainage, roads, roadside assets, removal and disposal of debris, regulatory and other Council signage installation and maintenance in compliance with the manual of uniform traffic control devices (MUTCD).
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing work team and ensuring the provision of quality customer service.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a timely manner to the required quality standards.
- Participate, as required, in the after-hours duty roster and provide assistance during emergencies such as floods, bushfires, etc.
- Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
