Civil Lawyer - Based In Tasmania

Our client is seeking an experienced Lawyer to join its team based in Tasmania. The focus of the role is to provide high quality advice, information and representation in civil matters in Tasmania. The role also involves providing community legal education.About You:

• Experience working as an advocate in the Magistrates Court would be preferred but is not essential and have undertaken work in the Supreme Court.
• An understanding of the social issues faced by members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player, working positively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• High level of personal initiative, resourcefulness and diligence.
• Basic competency in the use of MS Office and the capacity to quickly acquire competency in the use of client databases.

• Admission or eligibility for admission as a Legal Practitioner in Tasmania.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license is essential, as the role entails travel throughout Tasmania.
