JAYDO Construction is a Victorian civil engineering company that provides contracting & construction services to the water, sewer & drainage industries over the last 30+ years.
About the role
We are looking for skilled labourers who wish to pursue a long-term career in the Pipeline and Drainage Industry. Ideally you will possess some knowledge of drainage / basic pipelaying e.g. plumbing experience, civil drainage.
Our Sewer/Drainage Infrastructure teams are currently working on projects in Melbourne's North & West.
This position is open to candidates that are either already established or those looking to take the next step. You will need to have at least some experience in either sewer/drainage construction or a similar field to be considered for this role.
Your main focus in this role will include:
- Assisting with the pipelay process as a “Toppy”, with an eagerness to learn the trade.
- Eventually be able to read and interpret plans
- Basic Survey knowledge
- Basic machine operation, willing to learn.

- Industry experience / similar eg plumbing or civil drainage
- Construction Industry Induction Card
- Any earthworks tickets considered advantageous.
- Safe on Site and familiar with good OH&S practice
