Civil Plant Operators – Hunter Region

We have full-time on-going position available now for people that want to work in the great outdoors & have an eye for detail. We are looking for multiskilled operators however single competency operators are also encouraged to apply. These are NOT seasonal roles they are genuine fulltime 365-day positions.
These positions are for Civil Plant operators for plant including Graders (16ton), Water Carts (HR), Posi-trac loaders, Excavators, Rollers (ride on), Backhoes, Tip Trucks (HR)all within the Hunter Region.
Salary Range = $35 - $45hr + Super depending on machinery & work profile experience.
Primary purpose of these Positions:
Provide safe & effective civil work operations for any or all the following plant:
- Graders (16ton)
- Water Carts (HR)
- Posi trac loaders
- Excavators
- Rollers (ride on)
- Backhoes
- Tip Trucks (HR)
The Position’s Details:
- Operators will be required to work at site locations in Hunter Region.
- Monday to Thursday – 38hr work week
- 4 day work cycle
- Overtime available.
- Wages paid weekly.
- Working in a site-based team environment.
- Uniforms & tools provided.

Key responsibilities:
• Deliver remote civil road & infrastructure projects on Defence Sites.
• Be proactive in providing quality & safe site activities.
• Ensure all equipment is always maintained & is in a safe working order.
- Ensure all required job paperwork is completed in a professional manner.
• Operate all equipment & machinery in a safe & professional manner.
• Ensure PPE is used for required tasking.
• Must have a Proven ability to work effectively in a team
- Be willing to contribute to a positive & productive work culture.
• Ability to respond appropriately to supervisor’s directions & adjust to a variety of work environments & carry out diverse tasks as required, including working with limited supervision at times.
• Polite, professional, & well presented.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Be able to demonstrate a hands-on working knowledge of civil maintenance equipment.
- Be able to discuss basic remote civil construction activities, principles, tasks & methodologies.
- Be able to discuss workplace safety including PPE for civil construction activities.
- Demonstrate a work history that includes remote civil maintenance & construction works.
- Hold the necessary VOC (RII Competencies).
- Hold & maintain a current Australian driver’s license. (HR preferred)
- Have a WHS General Construction Induction card (white card)
Essential employment requirement:
- Verification of Competency certification.
- National police criminal history check.
- Australian Citizenship (Mandatory).
- Current driver’s license, with HR preferred.
- Driving record Certificate from Services NSW.
- General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
