Field Supervisor

Nature of Position:        Permanent, Full-Time

Location:                        Wetherill Park/Arndell Park (NSW)

Reporting Line:              Field Services Manager

Service Stream's telecommunication division is looking for a Field Supervisor to join our Wireline team. ​You will be responsible for leading, directing, supervising and coordinating the activities of field staff and sub-contractors under your control.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and supervise a team of subcontractors in the efficient maintenance and / or construction of Telecommunication infrastructure (copper and fibre).
• Maintain and promote Service Stream high level of HSE requirements. Good understand of HSE principles and how they are implemented, to ensure a safe work environment.
• Provide motivation and leadership to a team of contractors, within a safe and compliant working environment.
• Formulating comprehensive quotations and tenders
• Undertake all necessary scheduling of work, staff and equipment to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly production targets are achieved
• Ensure current work practices are implemented in the field and recommend changes to ensure that any activity is performed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
• Co-ordinate and assist in the training of all staff & sub-contractors
• Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client’s network & plant
• Liaise with and make all necessary arrangements with Public Authorities regarding provision of services to the network and working in public areas

Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in the Construction/Telecommunications industries or similar 
• Good working knowledge of Wideband services and their operation 
• Relevant technical qualifications and appropriate industry accreditation 
• Current drivers license to enable site visits 
• Possess an expert technical knowledge of the relevant aspects of the various networks and the work practices required by the client
• Current General Industry OH&S Induction card
• Must have Recoverable Works & Wideband experience
