Civil Works Plant Operator – Grader (Final Trim)

Our Civil works teams look after maintenance and construction including the renewal and reconstruction of road pavements, road stabilisation, installation of new drainage pits and pipelines, and construction of concrete structures including kerbs, footpaths and bus stops. With over 760 kilometres of road under our care, you will directly impacting the community.
About the role:
In this role, you will operate a grader to Final Trim standard, as well other plant including loader/backhoe, skid steer and excavator. At times you will be required to lead small teams and assist with general labouring duties. Your work will help build and maintain Maitland City Council’s infrastructure and other municipal works.

This is a permanent full-time role working across a 9-day fortnight with a salary range of $62,780 up to $69,686 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 11% p.a. super.

About you:
The successful applicant will have solid demonstrated experience in operating a grader to Final Trim standard, as well as other plant including loader/backhoe, skid steer and excavator. You will have demonstrated contemporary experience in Civil Works, the ability to provide assistance with leading a team and the proven ability to work as a productive team member. You will bring a high standard of workmanship and take pride in your work.For this role, it is also essential to have a current Class C Driver’s Licence.
