SalaryWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic entry level Civil / Geotechnical Engineer, ideally with experience in Dams or Tailings, to perform Engineer of Record related site inspection and reporting duties. This role would be ideal for an enthusiastic Engineer looking for a short-term assignment (minimum one year period). On rotation, you will be based on site (in North Queensland) for 2 weeks, and then office based at our Brisbane office for 2 weeks, although other GHD office locations would also be considered.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Undertaking site inspection to assess asset condition and preparing daily reports.
- Site co-ordination between the Client and GHD's Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
- A range of activities including technical reporting, instrumentation analysis and other technical works under direct supervision of GHD's Lead Engineer.
- Presentations to Client on site findings on monthly basis.
- Attending daily safe start meetings with Client's team.
- Minimum bachelor's degree qualifications in Civil / Geotechnical engineering.
- Ideally between 1-3 years' experience in site-based roles.
- An ability to create strong relationships with clients and team members, working collaboratively towards delivery for our clients.
- Immediate availability or as soon as possible.
Return Airfare to and from site from Brisbane base would be covered.
