The Contractor
You will be working with a privately owned enterprise with an entrepreneurial spirit! Operating over 10 years, this civil centric group are a sought-after contractor to local and state government authorities on civil infrastructure across the Sunshine Coast Region. We work to live and as such drive a Monday to Friday balance knowing that working on weekends on the Sunshine Coast make no sense.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, a newly created role is available for a highly motivated and focused Site Engineer - Civil to join the business! Your primary goal - to be the best civil site engineer you can be to support the delivery of core civil work projects like, road upgrades, stormwater installation, culvert construction, sporting field developments and bulk earthwork packages and Land Slip Rehabilitation. You will be accountable for providing QA and procurement of materials/subcontractors.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will apply your trade to build your career via a pathway to Project Manager and beyond in the future.
You Will Be Trusted With
- Preparing reports, plans and documentation to deliver technical and expert information
- Proactively recommending changes to ensure quality delivery of work
- Monitoring work progress - Proactively identifying and rectifying problems
- Assisting the development of construction methodologies, staging, sequencing, and programming
- Site planning, interpreting design to establish all required internal or Customer supplied materials
What you can do already
You are a good communicator, collaborative and are a natural problem solver! Your ability to translate technical complexities, your analytical approach, and toolbox of methodologies will be key assets as you work towards successful solution outcomes!
You will have at least 1 year post graduate experience as a Civil Engineer / site Engineer ideally within civil infrastructure/DTMR projects in Australia.
