Job description

Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Brisbane CBD office.

Claims Analyst (Graduate Opportunity)

What can you expect?

As a Claims Analyst you will assist the Power and Energy Claims Advocacy practice, and the broader Claims Advocacy team as needed, with claims activities. You will draft straight-forward communication documents for notification, coverage and negotiation, and where appropriate use pre-defined templates.

You will conduct research to help colleagues identify appropriate policies and/or coverages as well as optimal claims management strategies.

You will assist with setting appointments and keeping records of meetings.

You will assist with preparing internal and external claims presentations.

You will identify, download, and document claims related data such as loss statistics, key trends, cost reduction opportunities and other data into standard structured formats to assist development of action plans to manage client's claims and/or total cost of risk. You will follow audit procedures to review and identify inconsistencies between insurers/other suppliers and agreed service levels and enter findings into template reports for senior colleagues to review and provide comments and recommendations to maintain quality of claims process.

What you need to have:

  • High level of accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ideally someone with bachelor’s degree in Law or Engineering
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills and proven track record to provide a high level of customer service
  • Flexible and team player – develops close partnerships with onshore and offshore colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain clear lines of communication with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • South Brisbane, QLD 4101: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
