The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and adaptable person to join the Trade Credit & Surety business unit. The role of a Claims Assessor will see you taking responsibility for the prompt and fair assessment of claims.

You will be reporting directly into the Head of Trade Credit Claims and working within a supportive and dedicated team.

  • Process claims ensuring compliance with the Insurance Contracts Act and other regulatory requirements

  • Conduct all written and verbal communications with clients in a professional manner and maintain customer service focus when managing difficult issues.

  • Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets

  • Maintain all files, systems and databases to ensure that they accurately represent the Claim Management process

About you

We are looking for a driven and motivated individual who is commercially minded and solution focused who ideally comes from a financial services / insurance background.

  • Fundamental knowledge of policy and regulatory requirements and insurance industry and claims processes ideally in business lines highly regarded

  • Previous credit control or trade credit accounts receivable administration experience

  • Strong experience in a customer-focused role with excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Team player with collaborative mindset and a high level of resilience

  • Take accountability and ownership of tasks acting with integrity despite pressures and challenges
