About the role

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Claims Assistant to join the Caledonia Group’s operations in Deception Bay. This dynamic role offers diverse tasks and a collaborative team environment to enrich your workday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and Maintain Records: Keep an updated spreadsheet of all man hours and job allocations.
  • Document Management: Ensure all Fastfield documents are submitted by the required supervisors and saved in their respective folders within the dedicated time frames.
  • Verification and Submission: Cross-check Daily Labour Dockets, Job Forms, and Handover Certificates to ensure all dockets are authorised and accounted for before submission with claims.
  • Data Entry: Input man hours into various spreadsheets and external programs accurately.
  • Support Duties: Assist with other duties within the Claims Department as required.
  • Internal Audits: Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Compliance: Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards and management systems.

About you

This position will be well suited to a Claims Assistant who excels at building and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail is paramount, as is a proactive and initiative-driven approach. Strong customer orientation and excellent communication skills are essential. We value team players who are flexible and adaptable to dynamic work environments.

What you will need

  • Proven experience in data entry with a high-volume turnover.
  • Certificate III in Office Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in construction, mining, or resources (highly desirable).
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, including SharePoint.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated customer orientation.
