About the role:
Multicultural Australia is currently offering an opportunity for Administration/Claims Assistant to work as part of our Welcome and Initial Settlement Support team. The role of the Administration/Claims Assistant is to provide administration and claims support to all areas of the WAISS team. We are looking for 3 Administration/Claims Assistants.
Responsibility:
Among other duties, the successful candidate will:
- Provide a high standard of confidential administrative support, including monitoring phone calls and emails, managing diary appointments, and booking casual staff and volunteers.
- Completion of relevant referral forms, bookings, and coordination of clients to relevant essential services.
- Ensure timely preparation and completion of client and expense information and data, including lodging claims and reconciliation of credit card acquittals whilst meeting contractual KPIs.
- Liaise with staff, clients, and stakeholders on a wide range of issues affecting the office professionally and positively.
- Organise and coordinate meetings, workshops, conferences, and events as requested.
- Other appropriate duties that may be identified and required occasionally.
What qualifications and skills do I need?
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have effective communication and interpersonal skills. As well as having a confident and positive personality, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced, diverse environment, ensuring all KPIs are met.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong team and client relationships.
- Demonstrated experience working with data systems with an eye for detail.
- Experience in prioritising, problem-solving and responding to competing demands in a calm, organised and timely manner within a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
- Good organisational and professional written communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Demonstrated experience in working flexibly with a positive and diligent attitude towards changing workflows and demands.
- Demonstrated values of integrity, resilience, teamwork, and professionalism consistent with Multicultural Australia’s vision
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise time and resources to meet deadlines and key performance indicators.
Successful candidate will be required to have a valid driver’s licence, police check and apply for a Working with Children Blue Card.
