A well known insurance organisation has an opening for a Claims Consultant to join their Casualty team. This organisation is a trusted provider within their field which holds a strong and stable position in the current market. As a Claims Consultant you will join a highly experienced team in a supportive and collaborative environment.
In this role your duties will include –
- Management of a portfolio of mixed liability claims including some litigated matters.
- Determine the nature of the loss and coverage provided, then effectively negotiate, and investigate each claim while communicating with all relevant parties.
- Provide advice on coverage.
- Proactively drive claim progress.
- Interpret policy wording and review of circumstance to ensure coverage is maximised.
- Provide structured claim solutions.
- Liaise with clients, external service providers and other insurance organisations.
Essential requirements –
- Experience managing a portfolio of mixed liability or casualty claims in an insurer/underwriting agency or legal firm.
- Strong understanding of complex and litigated claims matters.
- Effective communication, negotiation, dispute resolution and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to build a strong rapport with service providers and customers.
- Confident in your ability to effectively manage the claims process and all relevant parties.
- Ability to take ownership while working to tight deadlines.
