The Claims & Data Officer Role

The Claims and Data Officer is accountable to the Manager, Work Health and Safety and Injury Management (WHS&IM), assisting to ensure the provision of an equitable, efficient and cost effective claims, compensation and return to work service to Regional LHNs in accordance with the Return to Work Act, 2014 (SA), Regulations and Accreditation Standards. In particular, the Claims and Data Officer will work under supervision to provide equitable, timely and effective claims management, maintaining a portfolio of low risk, short term cases. The Claims and Data Officer will be responsible for the processing and timely payment of accounts and accurate data entry through the SIMS recording system of new claims, account and income maintenance details, injury management contact and rehabilitation details. 

The Rural Support Service (RSS) is a business unit in SA Health that is responsible for providing flexible, responsive and innovative services to support the six regional local health networks (LHNs) across South Australia.

The RSS is spread across regional and metro SA operating in a client-centred model, providing leadership and expertise in digital health and innovation, regional health and wellbeing services, regional workforce planning and development, business services and state-wide clinical services.

This is a part time vacancy, working 45 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
