To support our growth, we are looking for a dynamic and passionate Claims Specialist to join our growing organisation on a Permanent basis.
About the location
The Claims Specialist based in Sydney. We support a healthy work-life balance and currently have a hybrid working model in place with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
Reporting to the Claims Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Review and determine coverage under the insured's policy.
- Establish and negotiate liability
- Effectively and confidently manage the settlements with clients
- Ensure the highest standard of claim file management.
- Deliver the best client outcomes using appropriate claims guidelines.
- Produce detailed and high-quality reports.
- Identify continuous areas improvement.
- Manage performance of external suppliers to deliver service to clients.
Qualifications needed:
- Knowledge of the rural industry (desirable)
- Minimum 3+ years claims experience within General Insurance, specifically motor and property claims
- Proven knowledge of general insurance on tier-2 level
- The ability to use initiative and streamline processes and procedures
- Experience with administrative processes and systems
- Flexibility and a willingness to work on tasks outside their remit
