My client is a leading insurer in Australia. Their workers compensation division is growing rapidly and so the role of Regional Claims Specialist is a new role in the company

The role will see you responsible for:

• Assisting injured and vulnerable workers with their claim under workers compensation 
• Visiting workers in their home or workplace to assist with their recovery plan
• Developing key goals in their return to work journey
• Working with Occ Rehab, treating doctors and other specialists to achieve the return to work goal.
• Building trusting relationships with workers 
• Managing a small portfolio of medical claims 

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate

• An allied health or nursing degree
• Experience in Occupational Rehab or Nursing 
• A passion for assisting workers achieve their return to work goals
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to adapt your communication style for your audience
• A full drivers license as travel is required
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to learn and apply the relevant legislation under the workers compensation scheme
