About you
As a Classroom Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- sound knowledge and commitment to the Church's mission in Catholic Education and personal Catholic faith practice
- demonstrate knowledge and practice of contemporary pedagogy
- demonstrate the use of technology as part of effective teaching and learning
- articulate an understanding of the K-6 curriculum and the effective use of assessment and data to inform practice
- demonstrate an understanding of the diverse learning needs of students
- articulate and share their successful teaching experience, including differentiation of the curriculum for gifted learners
- demonstrate effective classroom management which supports the wellbeing of students
- show highly effective interpersonal skills and an understanding of collaborative practice and teamwork.
You will have attained:
- a Bachelor of Education (Primary) [conditionally qualified Teachers, will need to provide evidence in the form of transcripts from your teaching degree]
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in the Archdiocese of Sydney
- an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS
