The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
- Demonstrated experience in a classroom setting using 1:1 iPad technology
- Commitment to student-centred learning and the ability to differentiate instruction
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K-6.
- Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
