Katherine South Primary School is seeking exceptional Teachers for positions across Early Years and Primary Years. The school provides education from Preschool to year six. These appointments commence ASAP for a permanent placement at Katherine South Primary School.

Our school prides itself on delivering holistic learning experiences in order to support students to achieve their individual goals both in and out of the classroom. Katherine South has a proud tradition of achievement in academic, cultural, performing arts and sporting activities from the early years and beyond. The school is located in Katherine where the outback meets the tropics. The Katherine region is full of beautiful natural waterfalls, thermal springs and gorges to explore. The school has an enrolment of approximately 265 students with an attached Preschool. Of the student enrolment, approximately 35% are Aboriginal and 6% of students are from Defence families.

You will be supported by the Department of Education that is on a journey to become the most improving education system in Australia and is committed to a strong and equitable public education system where every child has the opportunity to engage, grow and achieve.

The successful applicants will be rewarded with many incentives and benefits including but not limited to an attractive remuneration package up to $136,696 based on your years of classroom teaching experience, 12 weeks leave (6 weeks recreation leave and 6 weeks stand down leave per annum), 3 weeks personal leave per annum, cultural leave, the option to salary sacrifice, relocation assistance and living allowances, flexible working arrangements and a supportive leadership team and peer group who will support you to grow and develop your career with the Northern Territory Government.

You will must hold/be able to obtain full Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (TRB) and a current NT Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card) to obtain prior to commencement.
