Position: 7-year contractSalary: $272,390 (SAT position) + 11% Superannuation + Fully maintained vehicleAbout the positionThe Western Australian Legislative Assembly is seeking applications for the position of Clerk of the Legislative Assembly. The role of Clerk of the Legislative Assembly is an exciting and unique opportunity to contribute to the work of the Western Australian Parliament. The Clerk of the Legislative Assembly is appointed by Commission of the Governor on the recommendation of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly as the principal adviser to the House on matters of parliamentary law, practice and procedure. The Clerk is also the Chief Executive Officer and Accountable Officer of the Department of the Legislative Assembly. The Clerk provides strategic leadership and is ultimately responsible for the operations and delivery of services to support the requirements of the House and its committees.
