About the Role:
The Client Coach provides a positive and supportive environment for people with disability that facilitates growth and development. Working with a range of clients with varying disabilities, we are looking for an experienced Client Coaches (Support Workers) to provide exceptional care to our clients.
The role of Client Coach will be diverse and highly rewarding, you will be supported with on-going training and professional development opportunities throughout your career. Orana Australia provides both supported independent living (group houses) and in home support services.
These roles will be based on a Casual employment contract.
About You:
Our ideal candidates will be flexible, adaptable, and available to work across all shifts, including active/passive nights and weekends. You will have experience working with clients who hold high care needs and must be able to manage challenging behaviours.
You will demonstrate resilience and always take a “person centred” approach. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team successfully and will receive continuous support and guidance from your Team Leader and Service Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care and daily living duties.
- Assist clients to work towards achieving their personal goals.
- Operate respectfully with a “person centred” approach.
- Support clients with their financial needs and documentation.
- Administer medication and assist with medical appointments.
- Document daily case notes and report all incidents that occur.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders.
- Assist Team Leaders with compliance by completing tasks and paperwork as required.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a Disability Support Worker.
- Possess a high level of care and empathy for people with disability.
- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate III in Disability/Aged Care, or equivalent.
- Hold a current certification in First Aid and CPR.
- All mandated doses of COVID 19.
- Hold a current National Police Clearance, and NDIS worker check.
- Have a full, current SA driver’s licence and your own vehicle.
- An effective team player and able to work autonomously.
- Provide flexibility and availability to work across a 24 hour, 7-day a week roster, including passive nights.
