ZIMMERMANN is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our CRM team. In the position of Client Insights Data Analyst, you will report directly to the Global CRM Director, and leverage advanced analytics and data science methodologies to enhance our client relationship management strategies and inform business decisions.

About the role:

The Client Insights Data Analyst will drive data-driven modelling and insights that contribute toward personalised client experiences, merchandising decisions, optimized marketing campaigns, and improve overall business performance in direct-to-consumer channels. You will revolutionise the way client data is used.

Please note that this is a full-time position that may be performed in a hybrid or remote capacity supporting our global team headquartered in Rosebery, NSW, Australia.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Lead the application of data modeling within client data analytics to support and develop client-centric strategies.
  • Utilise advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to analyse extensive datasets (qualitative and quantitative), extracting valuable insights related to client behaviour, preferences, and trends.
  • Build robust predictive models for client churn, acquisition, and lifetime value, guiding strategic decision-making and enhancing CRM strategies. Actively seek out ways to improve the client lifecycle, increase engagement, and reduce the behaviour of clients lapsing.
  • Conduct rigorous A/B testing to optimize campaigns and strategies, ensuring statistical validity and recommending improvements and opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive data insights roadmap, including reporting automation and strategic initiatives, to continuously improve the organization's ability to derive actionable insights from client data. This will involve designing and maintaining insightful dashboards, reports, and client journey maps (in collaboration with others) to effectively communicate key client metrics and identify optimization opportunities across all client segments and cohorts.
  • Lead the Client Data Platform (CDP) as Product Owner, driving feature development, aligning it with CRM objectives, and collaborating with D2C Channels, CRM teams, and the Global CRM Director to define client KPIs, guide training, and ensure data insights empower organisational decision-making.
  • Contribute toward the highest standards of data hygiene, integrity, and accuracy. Collaborate with the CRM Project Manager to maintain the health and integrity of the client data source of truth.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation within the team through the exploration of new techniques. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and senior management, providing project updates, addressing challenges, and highlighting opportunities. Stay current on data science, CRM technologies, and industry best practices to bring innovative solutions to the team and manage CRM data costs effectively.

What you will bring to the role:

  • A Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization, ideally within the Retail industry.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with platforms such as Emarsys, Lexer, tools, and as a Product Owner for a Client Data Platform.
  • Comfortable working with raw data and transforming it into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advances data visualization and communication skills
