Who we are looking for

Join us as the CSO Client Intake Practice Lead, a key role reporting to the Northern Client Services Coordinator. You'll ensure smooth client transitions through intake to service provision, identifying trends and issues to improve practices. Collaborating with program leaders, you'll communicate allocation processes and maintain consistent organizational practices. With a focus on our "no wrong door" approach, you'll prioritize support for complex cases and facilitate discussions around diverse community needs. Additionally, you'll support practice in managing intake, allocations, and serious frontline matters, with a particular emphasis on intake and initial client engagement with our services. To be successful in this role you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications: a degree (AQF level 7) in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Sciences OR a Diploma (AQF level 5) in Counselling, Community Services, Youth work, or Mental Health with demonstrated relevant experience in responding with therapeutic approaches to distressed clients.
• Experience in holistic screening, assessment, referral and advocacy, case management and crisis work in the community services sector.
• High quality administrative skills capable of working across multiple platforms including Penelope, DOORS, Telehealth, MS Teams

It would be a bonus if you have:

Experience in communicating with teams, understanding direction and applying instructions

What you will be doing

• Provide holistic, trauma-informed, and responsive frontline triage, intake, support, and referral to clients seeking access to RASA services.
• Conduct initial telephone intake for individuals referred via agencies, internal staff, and self-referrals.
• Identify and respond to immediate client needs and safety issues in consultation with Team Leaders, Coordinators, and/or Managers.
• Support Client Services Staff in building skills, confidence, and knowledge to address immediate client needs and safety issues, with the support of People Leaders and other RASA resources.
• Work restoratively and build relationships with teams to support a "No wrong door" approach to client inquiries.
• Contribute to supporting access for clients, families, and communities with culturally and disability responsive services.
• Maintain a high standard of data entry management, ensuring consistency and accuracy from intake to service delivery.
