Day-to-day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Meeting potential new clients and discussing how we can help to support them
- Establish new referral pathways through networking with businesses, hospitals, Local Area Coordinators (LACs) and support coordinators
- Existing Clients- Responsible for an overall positive relationship
- Completing evidence-based reports
- Contacting clients referred to the Local Coordination Point in a timely and appropriate manner to offer a service
- Conducting a risk assessment with clients to ascertain current risk status.
- Assisting with onboarding, data entry and inductions
- Take and deliver messages to appropriate personnel
- Work as a member of an integrated team, working across support services
- Clear and accurate record keeping of information
- Undertaking other duties as directed

Skills and experiences
We require passionate, experienced and versatile NDIS Client Intake Officer able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the NDIS requirements
- Demonstrated experience in working the Disability, Aged, Mental Health or Nursing sector
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement; ability to influence and collaborate diplomatically
- Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously, while consulting and collaborating as needed
- Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative and offer solutions and options in an ever-changing
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable work style
- Provide a NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check (or Willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid (Willing to obtain)
- Australian Driving licence
- Strong communication (written and verbal), technology, interpersonal and advocacy skills, with the proven ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals
