Location: Hurlstone Park

Annual Salary Range: $82,000 to $85,000 plus super

Role Overview

As we continue to expand our reach and impact, we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Services Co-ordinator to join our team. As the Client Services Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses, providing leadership and support to staff, and ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients.

Role Duties:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to support staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Assess client needs and assist them to plan for and access education and training programmes and any additional health and welfare options.
  • Support the development and implementation of individualised support plans for clients, focusing on promoting independence, community inclusion, and quality of life.
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of support services, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Practice Standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment within the house, promoting the rights, dignity, and autonomy of our clients.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, their families, support coordinators, and external service providers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Actively adapts, accepts and is willing to change within the context of the job role and wider organisation or community changes.
  • Implement and monitor health and safety procedures, including emergency response protocols and infection control measures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to client care, employee performance, and household operations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance knowledge and skills in disability support practices.
  • Fill in for support work shifts as needed, including providing direct care and support to clients, ensuring continuity of care and service delivery in the absence of assigned support staff.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the disability sector, preferably in Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a client-centered approach to service delivery.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards applicable to Disability services, including the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Compliance Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certification
  • CPR Refresher Certification
  • Covid19 Certification
  • Valid NSW Drivers Licence
  • Completion of NDIS Online Modules
