About the Role

The Client Services Coordinator is responsible for fostering a supportive environment for individuals and families affected by Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders. The Client Services Coordinator works closely with other members of the Wellbeing team to provide an integrated response to clients. With a dual focus on client engagement and administration, this position ensures the seamless coordination of support groups, allied health services, and administrative functions within THRF Group Parkinson’s.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and facilitate support groups for individuals living with Parkinson’s and their families while ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Support and provide assistance/training to group facilitators
  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and stakeholders ensuring smooth operation of programs and services
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage and connect with clients, team members and external stakeholders
  • Coordination and timetable management of client groups/education programs to ensure activities are well organised, well communicated and professionally executed.
  • Data entry, collation and reporting on program statistics and consumer engagement activities to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements
  • Provision of clinical support duties, including intake assessment, client and provider onboarding and liaison with healthcare providers to ensure clients are well supported and client and patient services are efficient and safe.
  • Provide a supportive and welcoming environment for the community through one on one support and incidental counselling where required
  • Collaborate and work with the wellbeing teams in the ACT and SA

About you

  • Tertiary level education in relevant discipline Social Science, Community Support, Disability Services, Aged Care Services or similar with experience in healthcare setting is desirable (ie. Case Management, Program/Service Coordinator, Allied Health Assistant)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in community engagement or a related field
  • Previous experience working with individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease or related movement disorders
  • Experience in group management and facilitation
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and respond to client/patient health related needs and direct to appropriate staff/resources
  • Proficient database management skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems and inefficiencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Screening requirements

Satisfactory outcomes for the following probity checks will be required as a part of your employment:

  • DHS Working with Children Clearance (WWCC); and
  • National Police Check (NPC)
