The CompanyI am working closely with a reputable national consultancy company. They are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 15+ years experience to join their Adelaide team. They are a specialist consultancy for construction and infrastructure development projects throughout Australia. This is a unique opportunity to join their steadily growing Adelaide team.
The Role- Assist in the senior leadership team with leading single or multiple projects.
- Be able to work in a team environment and develop good team working relationships.
- Contribute to team effort as well as individual tasks.
- Actively contribute and coordinate discipline specific activities i.e. estimating of projects including but not limited to first principles and unit rate estimating or the development of Project management plans.
- Be aware of the North business unit strategies.
- Efficient coordination of assigned projects, including understanding the scope of the and level of detail and effort commensurate with the proposal.
- Fully conversant with, and well-practiced in, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the company.
- Assist in receiving a client brief and help deliver the project.
- Actively input into project reporting & client liaison.
- Understanding of the critical success factors in discipline specific activities as it affects our clients and ourselves.
- Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully to clients.
- Maintain an up-to-date best practice documentation generated by corporate services team.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Pro-active time management and general reliability.
The CandidateYou will have a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or similar with minimum 15 years experience in civil construction including infrastructure. Preferably both
