Your new role
I am looking for a temporary client-Side Project Manager to join this organisation and assist in the delivery of a number of critical construction, capex or maintenance projects to ensure continuity of operations. This position will be offered for a 6-month period with the potential for an extension.
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for.
- Lead the delivery of strategic projects, including developing project plans, monitoring milestones and key performance indicators.
- Monitor individual project progress against project plans to ensure that outcomes are being achieved in accordance with planned objectives, milestones and relevant activities.
- Maintain oversight of the project portfolio to ensure adequate resources are available for successful completion
- Engage extensively with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to inform project plans and deliver on project objectives
What you'll need to succeed
This is a fast-paced environment that requires someone that is proactive and motivated to drive outcomes and able to manage multiple tasks at any one time. It is well supported within a team environment and is surrounded by experts in their field.
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in managing projects linked to key strategic initiatives in a complex organisation
- Experience in managing internal and external relationships and coordinating teams of diverse interests to achieve agreed objectives.
- Efficient and effective management of human, physical and financial resources.
- A flexible approach to all work tasks with a willingness to take ownership of position responsibilities.
- Demonstrated an ability to work independently with limited direction, demonstrate initiative and deal with competing demands and meet deadlines while maintaining both integrity and confidentially in dealing with issues of a sensitive or personal nature.
- Effective organisational and planning skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure to meet urgent requirements.
