About the role:
Reporting to the Clinical Shift Leader and/or Clinical Services Manager, Clinical Assistants perform a range of clinical procedures such as:
- Participate in clinical studies by effectively carrying out a diverse range of ‘on-study’ activities as directed by the Clinical Services Manager;
- Undertake a range of study conduct activities including check-in procedures, study-specific tasks, check-out procedures and visits tasks, within scope of the role, including collection of specimens and recording of study data;
- Undertake meal monitoring of study participants;
- Participate in clinical study activities by effectively carrying out a diverse range of ‘on-study’ tasks as directed by the Clinical Services Manager;
- Participate in ongoing training activities as directed by the Clinical Services Manager.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in a health or science related discipline, desirable;
- Capability to undertake a variety of clinical tasks, including specimen collections from study participants;
- Proven sound written and verbal communication skills;
- Sound knowledge of, and ability to work successfully within, rigorous standards, protocols and regulations (including ICH GCP preferred);
- Demonstrated and effective experience in undertaking a range of relevant clinical study activities and responsibilities;
- Ability to contribute to the establishment of routines, methods and procedures;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within diverse team environments;
- Commitment to own learning and development and demonstrated willingness to participate in other relevant CMAX sponsored training activities;
- Proven ability to work with accuracy and apply strong attention to detail;
- Ability to follow specific instructions and willingness to ask for support and assistance in a timely manner when required.
Successful applicants will be required to attend a mandatory 5-day induction followed by specific training. Training for all clinical assessments will be provided.
