- Supervise the delivery of care to residents on a daily basis by the care team.
- Coordinate assessments and documentation for residents, ensuring accurate care planning and relevant supporting documentation are provided in a timely manner as per Amana Living policy & Daily Admission Guide (DAG)
- Provide relevant education, coaching and support to the team, to address identified gaps in care or performance as required.
- Daily review of incidents (using Riskman), completing investigations of incidents as required, recommending corrective actions to the Service Manager and implementing the strategies to close any gaps.
- Drive and monitor ACFI assessments and process to maximise funding.
- Investigation and management of clinical issues and client complaints in collaboration with Service Manager.
- Conduct and delegate clinical audits, analyse results and lead actions to close identified clinical gaps.
- Ensure the rostered direct care staff are appropriately allocated to provide the highest levels of care to the resident for the duration of the shift.
- Contribute to the performance appraisal process for all staff within area of responsibility, including conducting appraisals for RNs, ENs and Carers with the Service Manager as required.
- Ensure care consumables are managed responsibly and within budget · Be a positive role model to all staff, encouraging members of the team to actively demonstrate and promote Amana Livings philosophy of care and 3Rs culture in all activities · Work collaboratively with the Service Manager in their role and where appropriate provide holiday relief etc. as requested
- Registration with APHRA for minimum 5 years
- Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
- NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Evidence of Flu (2024) and Covid Vaccinations (including Booster if eligible)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and reference checks
- Willingness to attend a paid 2-day (Monday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
- Previous experience documenting in aged care.
- Previous experience providing training to care staff
- Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of legislation impacting on nursing practise
- Successful completion of pre medical form and reference checks
