Under the supervision of the Practice Manager of Health Services, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for providing support to ensure effective and efficient coordination of clinical health services in the medical centre. The Clinical Coordinator will be required to work effectively within a team on a day-to-day basis; all while exercising delegation of authority and making appropriate decisions.
The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible and accountable for a responsive and efficient framework of operational service delivery that meet identified targets and the requirements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as identified in the MDAS Strategic Plan.
Key Selection Criteria:
• Demonstrated experience in a primary health care environment coordinating and delivering services.
• Demonstrated experience in client-focused approach to service delivery with quality and clinical governance as the priority in providing safe and efficient healthcare.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional leadership and coordination to staff in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to promote and actively lead team development and further enhance service delivery.
• Demonstrated experience in the review of operational service delivery to support the development of strategic planning for the future that can be used to expand clinical health service delivery across multiple locations.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in and the ability to collate and prepare statistical reports and submissions.
• Take action to provide services that are inclusive of Aboriginal people and engage in learning about other cultures to better establish relationships and improve services.
Qualification/s:
Registered Nurse Division 1 (AHPRA registration) with minimum 4 years’ experience or Aboriginal Health Practitioner (AHPRA registered) with minimum 3 years working in a Primary Healthcare setting.
Other Screening Requirements:
A current Driver’s License that allows you to drive in Australia.
A current Employee Working with Children Check card.
A current National Police Check.
