Why this role is important The MYAF program is a federally funded Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) initiative supporting the Islamic population of north-west metropolitan Melbourne to access drug treatment services.

MYAF is funded through the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), and comprises a partnership of Alcohol and Drug providers - Odyssey House Victoria (OHV), The Salvation Army (TSA), Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC) and Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS). About the role The MYAF Clinical Services Coordinator will lead an effective and high functioning AOD and Health Services team to deliver high quality best practice treatment and support for clients accessing the MYAF Program.

The position works closely with other members of the consortium to ensure a collaborative approach to service delivery. Reporting to the Regional Manager AOD South, this is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity, based in Coburg North. Compensation is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award, Level 6.

You will successfully Lead the development and delivery of the AOD and Health Services to enhance the health and wellbeing of the north-west metropolitan Melbourne Islamic community to assist community members experiencing AOD-related harms based on best practice service delivery and continuous quality improvement. Ensure all aspects of service delivery align with The Salvation Army’s (TSA) alcohol and other drug (AOD) model of care, harm reduction and primary health care services philosophies and TSA policies and procedures, including harm reduction principles, the social model of health, cultural diversity and trauma informed practice.

Engage with stakeholders to ensure positive relationships are developed and maintained to enhance service delivery for clients including attendance at relevant stakeholder meetings and networks as required. Provide sound clinical leadership, including facilitation of weekly clinical review meetings and monthly clinical supervision for MYAF Clinicians. Manage organisational and staff risks associated with the delivery of the service and ensure risk management processes are maintained at a high level, including adherence to the CIMS framework for all client incidents whilst also supporting staff with maintaining up to date risk registers, ongoing risk assessments and review, and crisis intervention.

Community engagement with the broader Muslim community to promote the MYAF program and encourage engagement with AOD and Health Services for members of the Muslim communities. You will have Minimum of undergraduate qualification in social work, psychology, or related field Management related qualifications and/or experience Core Diploma level qualifications in AOD and Dual Diagnosis interventions What we offer
