We offer an exciting opportunity for a dynamic medical oncologist to provide transformational and innovative leadership, governance and direction to a leading Regional Cancer Service.
This service has led the way in replicating expected quality initiatives found in major metropolitan cancer centres for regional patients, and are in the process of establishing a clinical trials unit with a focus on bringing appropriate trials closer to home for patients living in regional and rural areas.
This role will play a key role in furthering these initiatives, and work as an integral member of the leadership team to help deliver high-quality oncology services, provide guidance and expertise to the team with a focus on continuous improvement, and contribute to the state’s overarching strategic direction.
The Clinical Director / Lead will make up a 0.4FTE, with the option to accept additional clinical FTE, with some telehealth if desired.
You will have the opportunities to provide effective teaching programs, support and guidance to the regional teams and ensure the provision of high standard clinical services to patients.
To be considered for this opportunity you much have obtained:
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Specialist recognition as a Medical Oncologist with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner holding specialist registration.
- Demonstrated participation in continuing professional development since attaining Fellowship.
