  • $105,362 - $120,416 (pro-rata) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

It supports the Women’s to achieve its strategic directions by the provision of frameworks for the professional development of allied health professionals (therapists and scientists). The team supports the growth and maintenance of the current and future workforce of allied health professionals. The team further collaborates with other health professional education teams at the Women’s to promote Best Practice Clinical Learning Environments (BPCLE).About the roleThe Clinical Educator (Genetic Counselling) is part of the team responsible for the introduction of the new Allied Health Clinical Education Program. The new program will embed an allied health professional education, training, and development framework at the Women’s and ensure governance obligations and expectations are met or exceeded. The Clinical Education Team will promote and contribute to the development of a culture of learning, reflective and evidence-based practice.A regular day will see you:
  • Integrating advanced clinical reasoning into clinical problem solving at a discipline, system, or team level, supporting exceptional care experiences
  • Design and deliver on innovative models of education, training and professional development and deliver on the Best Practice Clinical Learning Environments (BPCLE) framework
  • Support the collation, analysis and preparation of high-quality reports related to Allied Health Clinical Education related data
  • Deliver high-quality clinical and professional supervision to clinicians and students
About youYou’ll bring with you:
  • Eligible for registration in genetic counselling with the Human Genetics Society of Australasia
  • Experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of high-quality education/training programs for clinical staff, interns and/or students
  • Well-developed communication skills (spoken and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of current educational policy and directives in the government and health sector
  • Understanding of tertiary education models, internship programs and clinical training systems within the Victorian context
  • Working knowledge of interprofessional education, andragogy, and adult learning
