About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary part-time, 45.6 hours per fortnight, up to 29/12/2024 with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months.
The Clinical Educator (Psychology) will support and enhance the provision of the clinical supervision, education and training which is already provided in health services for students and new graduates.
This position will lead capacity building of staff and students of psychology. They will engage in supervising, teaching and training of students and early career psychologists.
This position is responsible for the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), with support as required, to Mount Isa.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

- Leadership and management
Generous remuneration package value up to $7638 p.m. comprising:
- Salary range of $62.75 to $67.53 p.h. (HP4)
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
- The successful applicant must possess a four year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.
- Full Registration with the Psychologist's Registration Board of Australia (AHPRA) is required.
- The possession of an Australian Psychological Society (APS) accredited postgraduate qualification in clinical psychology and/or membership with the APS college of Clinical Psychologists and/or Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist would be highly desirable.
- Must possess accreditation as Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board or be able to quickly acquire accreditation.
- The successful applicant should possess or have the ability to acquire relevant qualifications in clinical teaching and learning.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- The position may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- Probation period may apply.
