These programs include but are not restricted to the Master of Magnetic Resonance Technology (MRT), the Master of Molecular Imaging (MMI), the Molecular Imaging Technology Field of Study in the UQ Master of Biotechnology and short courses. The role also involves developing protocols and conducting human imaging scans on subjects on 3T, 7T and PET/CT as required to support the Centre for Advanced Imaging Human Imaging Facility.Key responsibilities will include:TeachingContribute effectively to teaching, including course coordination, across internal and external modalities.Lead and coordinate programs, student cohorts, and curriculum development to scaffold and enhance student learning across courses within programs.Demonstrate continuous improvement in curriculum and assessment, motivate student participation and learning through effective pedagogies and the use of technologies.Grow the reputation of Teaching excellence in the discipline across the Faculty and externally.Build internal and external collaborations that enable and facilitate the dissemination of educational innovations within and across the discipline.ResearchLead projects (internally, externally or unfunded) that address pressing educational problems or advance exciting new approaches in medical imaging, with national recognition.Enable the transfer of evidence-informed knowledge of educational practices into the curriculum across programs, such as conducting course audits to implement.Foster intellectual independence and drive strategic collaborations that yield new and quality insights in pedagogical practices and activities.Supervision and Researcher DevelopmentSupervise and mentor coursework masters research student projects.Citizenship and ServiceConsistently demonstrate behaviours that align to the UQ values.Shows leadership of self and others through mentoring, collaboration, and responsibility for staff well-being, including mentoring colleagues for Teaching Awards, Educational Fellowships, etc.Show a history of success in internal service roles, highlighting strong collaboration, active participation in decision-making, and committee service.Establish collaborations in relation to external service activities and engagement.Strengthen external partnerships through collaborative activities with industry, government, professional bodies, and the community to enrich curriculum, teaching, and assessment, especially in clinical areas.This is a teaching focused position. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $132,201.83 - $152,202.33, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $154,676.15 - $178,076.72 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.About YouApplicants should possess a Masters or equivalent in medical imaging, with an undergraduate degree in medical imaging and significant clinical experience in an imaging discipline relevant to CAI's educational programs. Applicants should also have Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) MRI Level 1 National Accreditation and a Queensland Government Radiation Licence.Additionally, you will demonstrate:An established record of Teaching excellence and expertise at postgraduate levels across a variety of settings, with course coordination responsibilities in medical imaging programs.National recognition for teaching impact in the medical imaging discipline.A record of successfully initiating and managing projects that improve curriculum, pedagogy, or assessment practices of others.Experience in educational leadership at the program, plan, or equivalent levels with evidence of effective impact on the teaching and/or assessment practices of peers.Evidence of leadership in curriculum development at the program and/or course level in magnetic resonance imaging technology or practice.A record of meaningful internal service roles, including the successful mentoring of less experienced staff, in conjunction with evidence of leadership in external activities.Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in teaching and learning.A professional clinical profile that enhances existing expertise at the Centre and demonstrates awareness of industry education needs through established networks.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Mandatory Immunisations: It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
