Status: Full Time Permanent
Salary: $90,108 - $96,160 p.a. + 11% superannuation contribution

About Us
Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.
About the Opportunity
As Clinical Lead you will, provide leadership to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker and Health Practitioner workforce to ensure clinical and non-clinical programs and services are delivered in accordance with the relevant Scope of Practice, are clinically sound, of a high quality and aligned with the Apunipima Model of Care and the Apunipima Way.
Pre-employment screening for vaccination against Vaccine Preventable Diseases will be conducted for the successful applicant.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Care Practice with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- At least five (5) years' experience as a Health Worker
- Demonstrated experience delivering clinical services as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner
- Demonstrated experience providing guidance, mentoring and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners
- Demonstrated experience monitoring clinical and non-clinical practice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners
- High level interpersonal skills including the ability to support the skills development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners in a learning environment
- Ability to apply a high level of clinical and professional judgement in the delivery of services and programs
- Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape York
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs
- Current QLD Drivers Licence
